In AS Sociology you will study three topics in more detail than at GCSE level [you do not have to have done GCSE Sociology to do it at AS level]. These topics are:

AS Sociology is assessed by taking three exams, one for each topic area. There is no coursework in AS Sociology but if you carry it on at A2 then you will do coursework.

This is the main change from GCSE Sociology as for AS you need to know about theories.

Sociological theories are just different views about how society works.
