Sources of stress

Background stressors are the routine demands of life that cause us to feel stressed. These can be split into two types:

Daily hassles - these are problems that are part of routine life, such as money worries.

Ambient stressors - these are things in our environment, that might cause stress such as noise and overcrowding.
