The Quasars

Learn about mysterious Quasars!
Quasars are NOT on the GCSE syllabus but you might be interested in learning more about them!

GCSE Basic Facts
Quasars look vey much like ordinary stars but they are so far away (they are the most distant objects that astronomers can detect in the Universe!) that they must be as bright as a thousand Galaxies put together! Astronomers think that in the centre of a Quasar lies a Black Hole!
