French Language Courses

1. BBC Education - Talk French -
Absolute beginners in the language of la belle France will find this bright website of use. RealPlayer is needed to download video and audio clips or you can just read the transcripts to answer the activity questions. Check out the key words and language first or launch straight in to the activities if you feel confident at saying hello, introducing yourself and what you do, booking a hotel, asking directions, ordering in a restaurant or buying things.
2. Learn French Free Samples -
View free samples of activities at this site for learning French.
3. French Cyberbook -
Teach yourself French with le CyberBouquin. From Novice to Intermediate High, work your way through the activities, vocabulary and grammar books to obtain a basic understanding of the workings of the language. Audio files help with pronunciation and there are games and puzzles to add interest. Some sections are annoyingly incomplete but this is a useful resource for all language learners and many parts could be adapted for classroom use.
