French Language Courses

1.

BBC Education - Leisure French Online -
These lessons are for intermediate level learners interested in the language and culture of France and are based on the original BBC radio series 'Leisure French'. Shockwave activities are based on a RealAudio clip or transcript and there are glossaries of new words and background information. The themes covered are a guided tour of Arras, cinema, wine and hiking.

2.

Fun French - An Interactive Game -
Billed as a site for learning French for business, this is actually a very useful, all-purpose site for learning the language. There are games and quizzes teaching French vocabulary and grammar, as well as educational pages on France's geography, culture and food. Suitable for anyone interested in French but particularly GCSE or adult learners.

3.

French Cyberbook -
Teach yourself French with le CyberBouquin. From Novice to Intermediate High, work your way through the activities, vocabulary and grammar books to obtain a basic understanding of the workings of the language. Audio files help with pronunciation and there are games and puzzles to add interest. Some sections are annoyingly incomplete but this is a useful resource for all language learners and many parts could be adapted for classroom use.
