Always, Sometimes, Never Example Page

Here are some examples

  1. You can multiply a number by 4 by doubling it twice.

A quick check with some numbers shows that it is at least sometimes true.

6 x 4 = 24 (6 x 2) x 2 = 24
20 x 4 =80 (20 x 2) x 2 = 80

By substituting algebra we can see it is always true.

A x 4 = 4A (A x 2) x 2 = 4A
