Unit A1

Always, Sometimes, Never Example Page

In these sections you will be given a mathematical statement. You have to decide if it is always true, sometimes true or never true. Each question is designed to make you think. Don't just guess an answer. Think about it carefully and work out how you would persuade a friend you were right.
If it is always true can you prove it?
If it is sometimes true can you work out in which cases it is true?
If it is never true can you convince somebody using logic?

These problems could be good to work on in twos. You will be able to pick faults in the other person's argument and refine it between you.
