Unit
G2
Straight
Line Graphs
Rene
Descartes was the first person to relate geometry and algebra by
inventing co-ordinates, which turn out to be a very powerful tool
in Maths.
This unit looks at the most basic of curves (maybe you wouldn't
even call it a curve); the straight line graph.
You
will need some kind of graph package on your computer to complete
this unit. You may have one already, but if you haven't you can
download one for free from the following website:
www.hot.ee -
Click
onto it and then click onto GraphP20_Full.exe. If there are problems
with this, ask your teacher, they may be able to help or lend you
a graphical calculator.
Before
you start, spend some time playing around with the icons on the
graph package so you know what it can do.
When you start on the individual units it would be easier to print
out the question page so you do not have to keep to-ing and fro-ing
between the question page and the graph plotter.
