Weimar Republic -

The seeds of evil. The rise of National Socialism in Germany

Many GCSE, A/S and A/2 level History students study and enjoy this important historical topic. Although you will be expected to have a better and more sophisticated knowledge and understanding at A/S and A/2 level, the issues and controversies remain the same. The aim of this part of the website is to enable you to investigate some of the most important questions and gain a better overall understanding.

No historian can make judgements without looking at the evidence. We will therefore try to show you as many historical sources as possible to build up your understanding. In doing this we will be asking you to question the reliability and measure the usefulness of different types of historical evidence.
