Task 7 Emergency First Aid

You have been shown how to deal with various accidents and injuries which can occur in a laboratory:-

• incident management and how to prioritise casualties
• burns and scalds, including chemical burns
• breathing in fumes or swallowing chemicals
• electric shock, resuscitation and CPR
• eye injuries
• bleeding, both major bleeding and minor cuts

Working in groups, select one of the above and produce a poster for the laboratory on how to deal with the injury.
