Shakespeare's language

Most students initially find Shakespeare’s language   confusing and unfamiliar. However, this is hardly

surprising given that Shakespeare’s plays were
written so long ago! This activity aims to show
you why Shakespeare’s language seems so
  different from our own.

  Reason One

Many of the words used by Shakespeare have a different   meaning in today’s English.

See if you can match the modern day word with its   meaning in Shakespeare’s time.
