GCSE Chemistry / On-Line Resources GCSE Science

You can use the selected materials in whatever way you wish but we have also suggested different programmes of revision you might like to follow that cover topics in the syllabus.

These programmes will consist of summary materials that we have written in College and also references to various web-sites. The web-sites will provide alternative versions of the notes and selections of tests and quizzes. In some cases they will also have animated sequences that provide explanations of the notes and photographs or drawings that illustrate the material. As a rough guide we hope you will be able to run through the whole programme on each topic in less than one hour. However, if you are trying to memorise the work as you go along and then test yourself on how well you have remembered the material, it may take longer.

If you find these programmes very straightforward and you would like to try some material that is of AS standard click here. This will take you to a series of programmes that form part of the AS Chemistry course (ie, beyond GCSE) and will give you an excellent preparation if you decide to take the subject at College. Should you find them too difficult at this stage, however, don't panic! Remember this work is at the standard you will be expected to achieve after you have completed and passed GCSE and have had some tuition and help from tutors at College. Of course, if you can cope at this stage, you are doing fantastically well! Good Luck!
