        Chemistry guide

This is a site that covers a number of basic areas in the AS Chemistry syllabuses. It is in the form of notes for you to read/browse through.

The section on calculations recommends a book you could buy on this section written by the author of the site and the section on downloading syllabuses is not relevant at this stage but the other topics are very soundly presented. You will probably find the Atomic Structure and Bonding and Basic Organic Chemistry the easiest to follow but the others may prove a little more difficult.

Remember these topics would cover more than a terms work on the AS and you would also have all the lessons to discuss the work with your tutors so don't get worried if parts of the work seem a little complicated. At this stage any of this work that you can manage will give you a definite advantage when you start an AS course in the subject.
