Market Reasearch Image

The best way to learn about market research is to do some! Your task is to find out the best website to buy CDs from. You are required to find the following information:

  1. Choose one CD and find out which company sells it at the cheapest price (including postage).
  2. Find out the range of prices for the same CD, i.e. take the lowest price from the highest price and this will give you the range.
  3. Find the mean (average) price. Add up the all the prices you found and divide by the number of prices you found.
  4. Which website offered the widest choice?
  5. Did any offer a limited choice and appear to be specialised?
  6. Which website was the easiest to use and why?
  7. Which was the most difficult to use and why?

Use the following links and any others you may know and/or use a search engine:

Once you have completed the above exercise click here for an explanation of your research.
